# Strong consistency within a global bucket?

Is `X-Tigris-Consistent: true` supported for a "global" bucket?

Alternatively can `X-Tigris-Regions: fra` be specified for both `PUT`s and `GET`s in a global bucket?

I'm looking for a way to guarantee strong consistency for write-then-read across _clients_ in different regions (at the cost of increased latency) for a small subset of keys within a single global bucket. Is this possible?

Yes, `X-Tigris-Consistent: true` is supported for a "global" bucket, and the header would ensure strong consistency within the region. However, cross-region consistency would still be eventual.

If you require strong consistency for read and write requests across regions within a continent (North America or Europe), then the "Multi-region" bucket location option would be a good fit.

More details on that are available here:

Are the X-Tigris-* headers documented anywhere? I don't see them mentioned in that link.

I'm not sure if there's a list of every X-Tigris header anywhere, I can look though
