# Object ACL

Is there a way to set this value to true when creating a bucket? I don't want to have to do this manually.

## Object ACL

Use Object ACLs to manage permissions at the object level, such as having private objects in a public bucket or public objects in a private bucket.

### Solution

The changes has been released. You can see the latest release notes in [https://github.com/tigrisdata/storage/releases/tag/%40tigrisdata%2Fstorage%403.16.0](https://github.com/tigrisdata/storage/releases/tag/%40tigrisdata%2Fstorage%403.16.0)

#### Minor Changes

#168 4790e55 Thanks @designcode! \- Support the allowObjectAcl and enableDirectoryListing options in createBucket.

allowObjectAcl: true applies the object ACL setting via a follow-up...

for the default bucket acls?

or for every object in the bucket

There is a toggle switch on the bucket that has this exact description. I want to either set that value to true when creating a bucket or be able to update a bucket to set that value to true.

bucket => settings => Access and Sharing

I'm going to ask internally, sec

You can do that from the cli: [https://www.tigrisdata.com/docs/cli/buckets/set/](/content/docs/cli/buckets/set/index.html)

Update settings on an existing bucket such as access level, location, caching,

You can also do it via the SDK [https://www.tigrisdata.com/docs/sdks/tigris/api/#updatebucket](/content/docs/sdks/tigris/api/#updatebucket/index.html)

```
await createBucket("my-bucket", { allowObjectAcl: true });
```

### Update

It looks like it is an update only operation. Can this be done on create?
